Hindu College Colombo Alumni Association of North America “fw;whq;F xOFf” Newsletter - 02/2010
Dear friends and colleagues,
Bamba Nite 2010
Seeing an oasis after a long trek through the desert………..A sailor meeting his family after a long duty out at sea………..
These were phrases one could relate to seeing the gathering and the reactions for the 200+ HCC comrades at the 2010 “Bamba Nite” Annual Dinner Dance.
The HCC bond was exemplified by the encouraging turn-out, where one would have thought negatively on recovering out of the current economic downturn.
Faithful Vimika Giri served a delicious menu, capped it with the “hoppers stand”. The latter was so popular that the queue to it as big as the one for the bar.
The entertainers – music and the dancers – were good, but “boys were being boys”. They had a lot more to reminisce about. In short, immense fun was had by all. Friends, is that not what really matters?
Heartfelt gratitude is due to our main sponsors Wijay Senathirajah, Sutha Sivaramalingam and Kumaran Ratnam. Our thanks also go to all the sponsors of the raffle and door prizes. Ramanan Ramachandran, Shankar Mahendran, Ram Krish, Sivaprassad, Dr. C. P. Giri, Raj Rajasri, Maurice Muthiah, Niranjan Udayakumar, Sheraton Parkway and Exquisites.
Apex Printing (Venu Puvirasan) did a wonderful job of putting down the event in print – the brochure and the tickets.
Most of all, the event could not have been this big a success without you all – the alumni members and supporters – attending the events from afar and near. Thank you.
Last, but not the least, for all the ladies and the children……… we say a big thank you for letting “the boyz” have an evening of their own and joining them in it.
Now you can catch some of our dinner dance actions on the web. Please do visit to our photo gallery at http://www.hinducollegecolombo.com/gal_dinnerdance2010.php
